KIND FACE AND LIFE MATTERS SUICIDE PROVENTION TRUST PARTNER TOGETHER THROUGH FEEL GOOD FUNDRAISING

We’re excited to be working with our second charity partner Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust through our Feel Good Fundraising Program.

For the month of May, all purchases that use the code LIFEMATTERS save 5%, and Kind Face will give back 20% to this great cause.

What is Life Matters?

Life Matters aims to reduce suicide in Aotearoa. They are a group of concerned citizens striving to help members of our community who are at risk of, or affected by, suicide.

They advocate for high-quality identification, response and support for the people who need it.

The mission of the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust is reducing suicide in Aotearoa by:

  • Supporting people at risk of suicide and their whanau
  • Providing community education
  • Increasing community awareness
  • Providing bereavement support
  • Reducing stigma
  • Local and national advocacy

You may also have heard of their Hope Centre. The Hope Centre is a safe place in Dunedin which provides support in the aftermath of suicide and help navigating New Zealand’s Mental Health Services. It’s a welcoming place where peer support volunteers promise to listen to you and to ensure you connect with good support.

What is Feelgood Fundraising?

It's time to shift the dial of the current retail model away from imported, mass-produced products and move towards eco-conscious, local items. Kind Face launched Feel Good Fundraising in October this year. It is a simple fundraising solution for NZ causes and delivers much needed funds with minimal volunteer hours required. According to Kind Face founder Chris Larcombe, “Sharing retail margins with deserving not-for-profit organisations makes so much sense, and it feels good 😊."

We know you will “feel good” supporting this fundraising campaign and your community. Here are a few reasons why:

  • Kind Face is a small family business and our products are 100% made in New Zealand in small batches.
  • Almost all of our materials are natural.
  • Kind Face products feel good: they are designed for a positive sensory experience.

Why Do We Need to Support Life Matters Now?

Lockdown has been hard on everyone, but kids struggling with mental health need our support now more than ever. In the 2021 lockdown alone increased almost 40% compared to 2020’s level 4 lockdown, and it's not slowing down as we continue to ease restrictions.

As a NZ business, we care about people, the environment, and making the world a better place. This is why we felt Life Matters was an honorable cause to choose for our second partnership.

How Do You Participate?

If you want to take part, use the code LIFEMATTERS when shopping our Feel Good Products online to get 5% off. In return, 20% of the sale goes back to Life Matters. You can also follow us on social media to easily share our Life Matters + Feel Good Fundraising content.
